Our Story

The name ‘Jacksonville’ is close to our hearts. It was intentionally selected as not merely a name, but to communicate the heart behind what we do. We are a family-owned and operated business, and as such, it seemed fitting to name Jacksonville Coffee after our first-born son, Jackson.

We are passionate about family and building a community where people of all backgrounds can find that they have something in common. ‘Ville’ is derived from the word ‘village’ and when combined, these words speak of our love for community, togetherness and our desire to bring people together around cups of coffee. Finally, as a name for several American cities, ‘Jacksonville’ reflects my wife’s American heritage.

Jacksonville coffee was born in 2013 when we opened our very first store inside the Prime Human Performance Institute at Moses Mabhida Stadium. It was the most phenomenal journey… making new friends, catching up with old friends, and growing in our love for coffee and people.   Since then, our business has evolved and our focus has shifted somewhat.  We are no longer involved in retail stores but have focused on supplying freshly roasted beans to the corporate space, small businesses, restaurants, cafés, hotels, and homes.

In addition, the Jacksonville Coffee mobile team is still on the move, keeping busy with corporate events, conferences and functions.
